Realistic titan masks from Hajime Isayama's manga series go on sale in May
Masks bearing the likeness of the man-eating giants that appear in Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) manga will go on sale across Japan at the Animate chain of anime goods stores this May for 5,775 yen (about US$70).
The manga depicts the battles between humans and the man-eating giants who now rule the world. Isayama launched Attack on Titan in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2009. The manga has become a sleeper hit, selling over 5.5 million copies since 2010.
Kodansha USA licensed the manga for North America, and Kodansha confirmed this year that a film adaptation will open in Japan in fall of 2013 or later.
