PSP/PS Vita game to ship in spring 2013; Konomi Suzuki to sing anime's ending theme

ASCII Media Works launched an official website for a video game adaptation of Hajime Kamoshida's Sakurasō no Pet na Kanojo light novel series on Friday. The "game creation simulation x love adventure" game allows players to control high school second-year student Sorata. Sorata and the other inhabitants of the Sakurasou dormitory will work together in the game to create their own video game as part of a contest at their school.

The video game is scheduled for release on the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita handheld consoles in spring 2013.

The official website for the television anime series adaptation of the light novel series also announced on Friday that the three lead female cast members, Ai Kayano (as Mashiro Shiina), Mariko Nakatsu (as Nanami Aoyama), and Natsumi Takamori (as Misaki Kamiigusa) will perform the series' opening theme.

15-year-old Konomi Suzuki will sing the series' closing theme. Suzuki had won the 5th All-Japan Anison Grand Prix singing contest last year. She previously performed the opening theme for Dusk maiden of Amnesia.

The television anime adaptation is scheduled to premiere October 8.
