Cowboy Bebop/Escaflowne composer attends Waseda Univ. club's training camp

The Waseda University's glee club revealed via its Twitter account this week that alumna and composer Yoko Kanno (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, Macross Plus/Frontier) will be composing a new song for the club's first upcoming performance. The club added that the song will be the first chorus song the group will perform.

The club added that Kanno attended the club's summer training camp this week and taught them directly, which greatly increased the members' spirits.

Kanno attended Waseda University in Tokyo, but majored in literature instead of music.

More information about the collaboration between Kanno and the glee club will be announced via the club's Twitter account at a later date.
