Box sets of game-inspired show to also have director's cut of episode 1 with added CG

The official website for CAPCOM's Sengoku Basara game franchise revealed on Wednesday the details of the live-action Sengoku Basara -Moonlight Party- Blu-ray Box and DVD Box, which will ship on February 2, 2013. The boxes will have "Outlaws," an unaired 10th episode which tells a side story with Katakura Kojūrō and Sarutobi Sasuke.

The boxes will also have a special director's cut edition of episode 1 with additional CG and four behind-the-scenes segments, including three with actors Kento Hayashi (Date Masamune), Kōhei Takeda (Sanada Yukimura), and Gackt (Oda Nobunaga). A compilation of next-episode previews will complete the bonus extras disc, and the first boxes released will include a 16-page booklet.

The 10-episode, 3-disk set will sell for 15,750 yen (about US$197) on Blu-ray, and 13,650 yen (about US$170) on DVD.

The Sengoku Basara: Samurai Kings anime began broadcasting in Japan in 2009, and was released in North America later by Funimation. The live-action adaptation premiered in July, and it is inspiring two compilation films next month.

Update: Yen-to-dollar conversion added. Thanks, Azim SF.
