Dynasty Warriors 8 Video Features Tomoyasu Hotei's New Song

The official channel for game developer Tecmo KOEI began streaming a second promotional video for the previously revealed Dynasty Warriors 8 (Shin Sangoku Musou 7) PlayStation 3 game on Thursday. The new video expands on the first promo by introducing more characters, showing extended cut scenes from the story mode, and demonstrating game mechanics such as the growth system and "commander mode."
The video also features Tomoyasu Hotei's new song, "Arashi ga Oka." Hotei is best known internationally for is song, "Battle Without Honor or Humanity," which was featured in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill. Hotei also handled the music for the live-action Red Shadow: Akakage film.
In addition to this second promotional video, Tecmo KOEI has posted 11 more character videos on their official channel.
The game will be released in Japan on February 28 with a Treasure Box edition that bundles an exclusive character 3D crystal (with LED stand), an original soundtrack, and an Omega-Force strategy/character design collection book. The first copies will include a serial code for downloading Zhao Yun and Sun Shangxiang from Romance of the Three Kingdoms 12. Each person who pre-orders a copy will receive one of four exclusive smartphone pouches. The Treasure Box edition retails for 13,440 yen (about US$163) and a standard edition retails for 7,560 yen (US$92).
Tecmo KOEI released Shin Sangoku Musou 6 in English as Dynasty Warriors 7 in 2011, while Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires (Shin Sangoku Musou 6: Empires) will arrive in North America on February 26.
