1st playable appearances for all 3 characters in March 20 One Piece game

This year's 13th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump is revealing on Monday that Buggy, Crocodile, and Dracule Mihawk will join the playable character roster for Bandai Namco Games' One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2. Buggy and Crocodile had previously appeared in the first game as enemy bosses and support characters, while Mihawk was only available as a boss character. This will be the first playable appearance for all three characters.

The game sequel will be set in the New World arc of Eiichiro Oda's manga and Toei's anime adaptation with powered-up characters and action. It will also introduce a new original mode called Pirate's Log," new characters, and new stages, such as the Punk Hazard arc. Shueisha's V Jump magazine already revealed on Thursday the roster additions of marine admiral Akainu/Sakazuki, former admiral Aoikiji/Kuzan, and admiral Kizaru/Borsalino in their New World forms, and marine instructor Monkey D. Garp as playable characters.

Namco Bandai Games will release the game in Japan on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita systems on March 20, while its European and American branches will release the title for PlayStation 3 this summer.

In Japan, the first copies of the game will include a download code for the battle uniform that Luffy wore in last year's One Piece Film Z, as well as the serial code for obtaining a limited in-game figure in Mobage's One Piece Grand Collection phone game. A limited Treasure Box edition will contain the game itself, an original skin sticker for the PlayStation 3 console, a pin badge display booklet to hold the pins that were bundled with the first game, a second set of 15 collection pin badges, and an original soundtrack CD.
