posted on by Rae First
Konami's latest in Metal Gear Solid franchise to also ship for PS4 as well as Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360

Konami has released a nine-minute director's cut mature trailer and a seven-minute all-ages trailer for the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain video game. The new trailer features extended cinematics as well as in-game features such as a real-time play experience, new stealth features, and re-mastered espionage tactics. The trailer also confirms that the game will also ship for the PlayStation 4.

Kiefer Sutherland will play the role of Snake in the game produced and directed by Hideo Kojima. Yoji Shinkawa will serve as character and mechanical designer, Hideki Sasaki as CG art director, Junji Tago as technical director, and Masayuki Suzuki as lighting artist. The trailer features the song "Sins of the Father," composed by Akihiro Honda with vocals performed by Donna Burke.

Metal Gear Solid V is a combination of two games: The Phantom Pain, and Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes. The game features Snake after he wakes up from a nine-year coma. Snake has lost a lot of his abilities, and must crawl through a hospital to escape. After Snake escapes from the hospital in the game, he can then walk around the game's world openly. The game will use Kojima Productions' new Fox Engine.

Konami will also release Metal Gear Solid V on the PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
