Love Live to Race Super GT Cars

The Pacific Racing Team of Super GT, a predominantly Japanese grand touring car racing series, will collaborate with Love Live! School idol project, the popular schoolgirl idol anime series. The official rationale is that both the team and the anime are about doing your best to achieve your dreams. (Pacific Racing Team's motto is "A Story Everyone Can Achieve.") Further details will be divulged in mid-March, and the team will look for sponsors starting on March 22.
Pacific Racing Team has a history of anime tie-ins: last year it promoted the new OAV series Ghost in the Shell Arise, while in 2011 and 2012 Squid Girl's menacing visage decorated its cars. Neon Genesis Evangelion, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Hatsune Miku have also made Super GT appearances.
