Artists Reimagine Anime Characters, Western Comics Style

posted on by Bamboo Dong

The folks over at Comic Book Resources posted their latest "The Line It Is Drawn" installment where artists honor readers' requests for artwork based on given themes. This week, the theme was "Western Re-Designs of Manga/Anime Characters" and some of them are pretty creative.

Some of the highlights include "Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's Akira" draw by Marco D'Alfonso and "Samurai Champloo drawn by IDW" by Paul Hostetler.

For the rest of the artwork, head over to their website.

Do you have any favorite illustrations featuring anime characters drawn in the style of Western comics? Let us know in the forums!
