Monster's Urasawa Creates Godzilla Art

Famed manga artist reveals a work that can only be described as a "monster-piece"

This week, two legends crossed paths. While both may have monstrous reputations of different types, the carnage left behind by their meeting could only be described as art. We speak, of course, of this exclusive piece of work done by Naoki Urasawa, famed manga artist of the critically acclaim Monster. Inspired by the recent Godzilla film, Urasawa's artwork does both the classic and modern adaptation justice.

The image was posted by on Twitter by Legendary Films, the co-production company who, alongside Warner Bros. Pictures, is responsible for the 2014 American version of the cinematic titan. Directed by Gareth Edwards, the film has already grossed over $315 million worldwide since its premiere on May 16.

While there is no word yet as to whether or not Legendary has plans to use this "exclusive artwork" from Urasawa, they have been posting other pieces of fan art, as well as other Godzilla related antics on their Twitter page. They even have a nifty picture of a Godzilla cosplay.
