Anpanman and Yo-Kai Watch Are Favorites in Kids' Character Poll

With all the attention recently on character-themed polls in Akihabara and on the web, Bandai asked 800 parents about their favorite children's characters. All participants have children from newborns to 12-years-old, and were polled between May 16-18. Bandai has conducted the poll every year since 1996.
The late Takashi Yanase's Anpanman superhero took the #1 spot for its 13th consecutive year with 11.9% of the overall vote. In a close second is the new Yo-kai Watch series and game franchise with 10.8% of the vote.
