Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods Gets TV Interview on Good Morning Texas

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Voice actors Christopher Sabat (Vegeta) and Jason Douglas (Beerus) appeared on WFAA's morning program Good Morning Texas with a slew of Dragon Ball Z fans to discuss Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. The actors' respective characters faced off in a recent released dub clip, but the actors seemed cordial on TV regardless of how their characters might feel towards each other.

Tickets for the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods North American film screenings are now on sale through the official English website. Screenings start on Tuesday, August 5 in nearly 800 theaters.

Funimation describes the story:

Following the events from the Dragon Ball Z television series, after the defeat of Majin Buu, a new power awakens and threatens humanity. Beerus, an ancient and powerful God of Destruction, searches for Goku after hearing rumors of the Saiyan warrior who defeated Frieza. Realizing the threat Beerus poses to their home planet, the Z-fighters must find a way to stop him before it's too late. Only Goku, humanity's Last Hope, can ascend to the level of a legendary Super Saiyan God and stop Beerus from destroying Earth, and possibly the entire universe! Fans of the series will be delighted to know that Battle of Gods is an original work from Dragon Ball creator, himself, Akira Toriyama.

The September issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine announced on Saturday that a new Dragon Ball Z movie will open during the Golden Week string of holidays next spring. Toriyama is personally credited with the original concept, screenplay and character designs of the new movie "that the entire universe eagerly awaits!!"
