Employees of Japanese Mobile Carrier Re-Enact The Yowamushi Pedal Opening

Japanese mobile provider Au by KDDI is trying to drum up excitement for their new Anime Pass subscription service, an extension of their partnership with Saffron Digital that gives subscribers unlimited access to 500 classic and new anime titles on their smartphones and tablets for 400 yen (about US$3.90) a month.

Their campaign includes a shot-for-shot recreation of the third Yowamushi Pedal opening theme song, acted out by cosplaying KDDI employees who just can't get enough of anime and Yowapeda.

As for just using the handlebars, perhaps they took some inspiration from the Yowamushi Pedal stage play, who make it look pretty good even without the wheels.
