Bite Into An Adorable Doraemon Custard Bun

Doraemon has been making strides into the 3D world in big ways—not only is his first 3D CG film scheduled to open in Japanese theaters this weekend, he's even going to appear in a live TV interview.
He'll also be making an appearance... as food. Convenience store chain Circle K Sunkus is going to be selling 400,000 "Doraemon-man" custard buns, timed for the premiere of the Stand By Me Doraemon film. Customers will be able to purchase the buns starting August 19, each retailing for a mere 180 yen (about US$1.75).
The buns are part of a larger Stand By Me Doraemon x Circle K Sunkus promotional campaign, which also includes Doraemon pancakes, coffee cups, lottery prizes, and limited-edition redeemable goods.
