Ichiban Kuji Celebrates 30 Years of Dragon Ball

posted on by Chris Nishijima
Remember all of your favorite moments from the past 30 years of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the first publication of Akira Toriyama's masterpiece Dragon Ball in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump. As one of the most influential anime and manga series of all time, one can expect plenty of celebration to occur during this year. In order to convey his appreciation to all of his fans for their support over the past 30 years, Akira Toriyma is working together with Ichiban Kuji to put out one of the biggest lotteries that we've ever seen from them.

Fittingly titled "Ichiban Kuji THANK YOU! Dragon Ball," the lottery has 10 basic levels of prizes, which altogether contain a total of 32 unique items. Take a look at some of the items they have lined up:

  • A Prize: Super Saiyan Goku Figure
  • B Prize: Special Edition MEGA World Collector ~Shenron~
  • C Prize: Dragon Ball Z Cushion
  • D Prize: Dragon Ball Z Wall Scroll
  • E Prize: Stuffed Toriyama Robo Mascot
  • F Prize: Guest Figures (1 of 3)
  • G Prize: Dragon Ball Z Long Towel (1 of 3)
  • H Prize: Rubber Key Chains ~Super Saiyan Assembly~ (1 of 10)
  • I Prize: Saga Shot Glass (1 of 4)
  • J Prize: Visual Art Prints (1 of 7)
  • Last One Prize: Son Goku Figure
  • Double Chance Price: Special Edition Future Trunks Figure
  • The same rules for most Ichiban Kuji apply as usual. In order to enter, you must purchase a lottery ticket from any participating store. The ticket costs a total of 620 yen for each try (about US $5.75). As with many other Ichiban Kuji lotteries, this campaign comes with a Last One Prize to be awarded to the customer that purchases the last lottery ticket from any given store, and a Double Chance Prize, which can be won by 100 lucky customers through a secondary lottery for those who were unable to win any of the main prizes.
