Newest Trailer Goes Behind the Scenes of Momoiro Clover Z Vs. KISS Music Video

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The official YouTube channel for girl idol group Momoiro Clover Z (Sailor Moon Crystal, Bodacious Space Pirates) added a new trailer that goes behind the scenes of their "Yume no Ukiyo ni Saitemina" music video with American rock band KISS. The video shows the groups meeting for the first time. Frontman Paul Stanley (who measures 6' feet tall) comments on how "little" the girl band members are (the girls are all around 5'0-5'1).

Paul Stanley and Greg Collins composed "Yume no Ukiyo ni Saitemina" and Yuho Iwasato wrote the lyrics. Momoiro Clover Z performed the song with KISS providing background vocals and instruments. The single was released in two versions via iTunes in 120 countries on Wednesday. You can watch the music video with animation by Sushio (Kill la Kill) below:

KISS is releasing their own new song titled "Samurai Son" on the band's "Best of KISS 40" CD along with the KISS version of the "Momoiro Clover Z Vs. Kiss" single. KISS will launch their 40th anniversary tour with Momoiro Clover Z, performing with the band at their last stop at the Tokyo Dome.

In addition to the trailer, the collaboration is running a "battle" website that lets users vote for Kiss or Momoiro Clover Z members on Twitter or Facebook. The page counts the keywords "momoclo" and "KISS" in real time for 25 minutes. When the 25 minutes are up, the page will offer a five-minute preview of either "Yume no Ukiyo ni Saitemina" or "Samurai Son," depending on which keyword appeared more often.
