Violinist Lindsey Stirling Covers Hatsune Miku's "Senbonzakura"

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Classically trained violinist and electro-pop artist Lindsey Stirling released a cover of Kurousa-P and Hatsune Miku's "Senbonzakura" on Tuesday.

"Senbonzakura" has enjoyed immense popularity since its original upload to Nico Nico Douga, receiving more than 4.3 million views in less than a year. The song has since rocketed to the tops of the karaoke charts, inspired a novel, and featured in a Toyota commercial. Hatsune Miku also got a Nendoroid figure based on her design from the original video.

Stirling released her album "Shatter Me" last year. She's also covered Halo, Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed, and Legend of Zelda themes.
