Gunpla Fan's Latest 3D to 2D Model Replicates Kazutaka Miyatake's Art

Gunpla builder and artist Mumumuno53 gained recognition last year when his artistic ability created the illusion that a 1/100 scale RX-78-2 model was a two-dimensional illustration. The model was so impressive that it won Gold Award at the 17th All-Japan Orazaku Championship.
Now Mumumuno53 has set his sights on the 1/12 Kidō Hohei Phase 2 model. Examples show the model's intended sand-color but Mumumuno53 did away with that in favor of mimicking original designer Kazutaka Miyatake's art style. The results are another 2D illusion masterpiece.
Mumumuno53 even used the model to create a short manga story. The backgrounds are drawn, but the powered suit seen in the images is from photographs.
