The Yokohama BayStars Baseball Team Gets a Bishōnen Make Over

posted on by Carlos Cadorniga

A baseball team from Japan is set to make hearts go doki-doki in a new drawing.

Eight members of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars have been re-imagined by mangaka Moyu in shōjo manga style, appearing as a dreamy life-sized group of stylized bishōnen. The top row features, from left to right, players Sho Aranami, Yoshitomo Tsutsugoh, Taiki Sekine, Yasuaki Yamasaki, and Hiroyuki Shirasaki. The bottom row shows Takayuki Kajitani, Kazuki Mishima, and Takehiro Ishikawa. Featured originally on Photospot, the image will be presented at Yokohama Stadium starting May 22.

The piece is part of the Yokohama☆Girls Festival 2015, taking place between June 20 and 21. The event celebrates a gathering of the BayStars female fanbase. The image will remain in the stadium until the end of the festival. Further illustrations of the team will be featured at the Soho Yokohama and Yokohama Takashimaya department stores at a later, unconfirmed date.

Other teams including the Chiba Lotte Marines and Yomiuri Giants are holding their own campaigns with My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO! and Attack on Titan.
