Hanshin Tigers Baseball Team Gets Special Manga Issue

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Nishinomiya's storied baseball team, the Hanshin Tigers, Big Comic Original is printing a special issue devoted entirely to them. It will include manga about the Tigers from manga artists who count themselves in the "Tiger Faction"; a double-sided pin-up featuring Urusei Yatsura's Lum and AKB48 singer Sayaka Yamamoto in Tigers uniforms; interviews with former Tigers outfielder Kōzō Kawatō, current Tigers pitcher Shintarō Fujinami, and baseball manga artist Jōkura Kōji; upcoming event information; and many Tigers-related articles on subjects like the team's 80-year history and their devoted fan base.
The manga includes works by:
- Rumiko Takahashi (Tiger)
- Akira Sasō (Akiko Hagiwara in 1997)
- Tsutomu Takahashi (The 1992 Nightmare)
- Kotobuki Shiriagari (Mt. Rokkō, The Secret Laboratory!!)
- Tsunomaru (Father and Child Tigers)
- Masahiko Kikuni (The Best Day)
- Q Hayashida (Dubious Hanshin)
