Sanrio's Salmon Fillet Mascot Gets Not-So-Tasty Puccho Candy

Sanrio's Kirimi-chan is a lot of things. An aspiring pop star, the subject of adorable merchandise, and edible. Kirimi-chan is a salmon fillet who sings about how tasty she is, a sort of energetic counterpart to Gudetama. However tasty the fishy friend might be, it probably isn't the first flavor that comes to mind when you think of candy, yet it exists.

Japanese candy company UHA is collaborating with Kirimi-chan for its Puccho candy, which has its own amorphous blob mascot named Puccho. According to weird, official mascot lore, Puccho has a crush on Kirimi.

Together, the two mascots have created this:

The candy includes fish flakes inside. According to taste-testers over at Rocket News 24, the candy tastes about as good as it looks.
