Akira Animator Koji Morimoto Draws DJ KRUSH Album Cover

Japanese hip hop producer DJ Krush's newest album Butterfly Effect got some special artwork by animator and director Kōji Morimoto. Morimoto might be best known as the assistant chief animator on Akira, but his other works range from Short Peace, Mind Game, and Spriggan to Kiki's Delivery Service, Magnetic Rose, and Eternal Family.

The album is the artist's first in almost a decade. DJ Krush elaborates in a video that he hasn't been "slacking," but instead performing around the world and didn't have time to produce a new album until now.
The record will drop on September 26.
