Singer Daigo and Other Japanese Celebrities Play Monster Hunter X in TV Ads

posted on by Carlos Cadorniga

Even the leader of J-rock band BREAKERZ needs to grind a bit for some monster hunting.

BREAKERZ member and J-rock star Daigo can be seen in a new TV ad for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game, Monster Hunter X. In this recent commercial, known as "KWKW," Daigo can be seen hard at work defeating a monster; he takes advantage the Hunting Arts (kari-waza, hence the "KW"), a special technique that can only be used once it has charged up in battle. He celebrates with a version of his trademark pose and yelling "kimochi WISH" (hence the second "KW"). The game will be released in Japan on November 28.

Another Monster Hunter X ad also went public, featuring a group of four Japanese celebrities playing the game, with each of them testing out the mechanics between the four signature monsters. These celebrities are actress Mayu Matsuoka, actor Shōta Sometani, comedian Satoshi Inoue and athlete So Takei.

Daigo previously appeared in a commercial for the game back in August.
