Magazine launches new "Manga Trailer" project to create manga previews of upcoming films

The January issue of Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine published a short "manga trailer" on Friday to commemorate the Japanese theatrical release of the live-action Spectre film starring Daniel Craig as James Bond. Fantasma manga creator Yūki Kaku drew the manga. Jump SQ.'s website has posted a two-page preview of the manga, and the January issue has a different version of the manga.

The "manga trailer" is a part of a new project in Jump SQ. where the magazine will publish trailer-like previews of films and other works in manga form primarily before the works become available in Japan.

The Spectre manga trailer is the first work in the new project, and Jump SQ. plans to publish a new manga trailer every month.

Spectre opened nationwide in Japan on Friday. The film opened on November 6 in the United States.
