Zombie Schoolgirls ”Infest" Uniqlo to Promote I Am a Hero

posted on by Eric Stimson

Customers visiting Ikebukuro's Sunshine 60 shopping complex on April 1 were treated to an unusual sight at the UNIQLO outlet: 20 high school girls dancing in zombie-like makeup. They were impersonating ZQNs, the monsters of I am a Hero, a horror-thriller manga with an upcoming live-action film adaptation. The ZQN-schoolgirls performed three times for three minutes each at the store entrance, in the glass showcases, and inside.

Customers who missed the show are still treated to their own chance to try on ZQN makeup, photo spots, the clothes worn by three of the film's characters (Hideo, Hiromi and Yabu), and a ticker running through the store reading "#ZQN" and "I AM A HERO."

I am a Hero will premiere on April 23. It also got a spin-off manga set in Osaka and has a real escape game set in a former hospital.
