British Animator's Full R-Type Animated Short Project Streamed

Paul Johnson's animated R-Type project for the YouTube channel Mashed began streaming on Wednesday. R-Type is a side scrolling shoot-em-up arcade game from the late 80s. Johnson, with inbetween assistance by Claudia Montealegre, created the short with 17 drawings per second.

Mick Lauer and Hayley Nelson voice Player One and Player Two, respectively.

For comparison of Johnson's inspiration, here's a playthrough of the the game's first level. It looks like really no one does die against the first boss.

The animation is titled Game Master: R-TYPE, hinting there may be more in the "Game Master" series to come.
