Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra Plans 'Hatsune Miku Symphony' Concert

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra is following the NHK Symphony Orchestra's lead by performing a concert with virtual idol Hatsune Miku. While the NHK Symphony's concert paired Hatsune Miku and other artists with the orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra's concert is described as the "first-ever concert to showcase masterpieces focusing on Hatsune Miku."

The orchestra will perform Hatsune Miku's own songs. The idol is shown dressed in tails drawn by her official illustrator KEI for the event's promotional artwork.

The performance is scheduled for August 26. FamilyMart locations began accepting ticket applications on May 31 and applications will be accepted until June 13. Tickets that include special tie-in goods and a brochure cost 14,800 yen, S seat tickets are 9,000 yen, and A seat tickets are 8,000 yen.
