Lost Silent Hill Game Pitch Revealed in Video

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Before fans shed many a tear for the cancelled Silent Hills horror game that would have brought together Hideo Kojima, Guillermo del Toro, Junji Itō, and Norman Reedus, studio Climax Los Angeles pitched its own Silent Hill title in 2006. It too, never saw the light of day.

The game would have taken place in Arizona and starred protagonist Father Hector Santos. The priest would have utilized water, a major motif in the game, to perform "holy rites and rituals." The franchise's usual baddies like Pyramid Head and Demon Nurses were also planned to make a return.

Unfortunately for Climax, they never received a greenlight from Konami to continue the project. The game was reimagined as an original title called Broken Covenant but that too, was eventually shelved. Climax's British branch would instead release Silent Hill: Origins and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.
