Game developer Illusion opened an English website on Thursday to reveal its upcoming VR adult game VR Kanojo. Illusion describes the game as a "virtual reality girlfriend experience." The company is also streaming two English-subtitled videos for the game.
The videos show high school girl named Sakura Yuhi interacting with players. Players can answer questions by nodding or shaking their head.
The site is also streaming a demo video for the game on phones and a preview of the game's image song.
The game's official website describes Sakura as a "bright and cheerful" person who "[gets] along with anyone." She is also a fan of sweets; her favorite sweet is called "Chocolate Bocky."
Illusion will release VR Kanojo for the Oculus Rift CV1 and HTC Vive headsets in late January 2017, as well as for PC. The game is for adults 18 years and older, and Illusion's official English website for the game lists it as the "World's first! Dedicated adult games for VR!" VR Kanojo is the successor to Illusion's previous game REAL Kanojo in 2010.
The official website describes the story:
I was asked to live in the neighborhood to help her study,
spend time with her proudly, we visited the house.
Rapidly approaching a close relationship with her!
Of course, I'm waiting to progress to the indecent part!
Another VR game developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment for the PlayStation VR titled Summer Lesson arrived on Thursday with the launch of the hardware system. Like VR Kanojo, Summer Lesson allows players to interact with a high school girl. Players can answer questions by nodding or shaking their heads.
