Kabaneri Compilation Films Audition Fans for Kabane Voices

posted on by Eric Stimson
Twenty slots available

Fans of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress with an interest in voice acting will get a chance to contribute to the voice work in the compilation films premiering at the end of the year, as these films are auditioning voice work for the zombie-like Kabane using the music social media service nana.

Interested fans must record their groans and screams, using the above scene as reference, on nana and use the hashtag #KABANE_VOICE. They must also fill out a Japanese-only application form. A new round for the second film will begin on November 15. 20 lucky winners will be chosen in early December (ten for each film); their work will appear in the final films, with credit given in the staff credits.

But that's not all! Five of these fledgling voice actors will be chosen by lottery to attend the premiere and meet the main cast. (They may bring along a guest.) A further ten applicants will receive an autographed poster for their efforts, and another ten will get a pamphlet.

The first Kabaneri compilation film, Tsudou Hikari ("Gathering Light"), premieres on December 31, with the second, Moeru Inochi ("Burning Life"), following on January 7. They will run for two weeks. The original anime did very well at the Newtype Anime Awards, netting Best Work (TV Broadcast), Best Soundtrack, Best Screenplay, and the Character Design Award.
