New Power Rangers Film Reveals Megazord Design, But in Toy Form

The official Twitter account for the Power Rangers franchise has revealed the first look at the Megazord that will appear in the upcoming new Power Rangers film. However, instead of revealing the Megazord design in gritty poster form as the film's Zords were originally revealed, the Megazord has been revealed through its tie-in merchandise.

The upcoming interactive figure will have expandable wings, battle sounds, LED effects, and all 5 Rangers. The account will reveal more info soon about a pre-order date.

This isn't the first time the staff has revealed some of the film's designs in toy form. Saban had previously revealed the full form of Red Ranger's Zord and weapon, and the film's Power Morpher in toy form earlier this month.

Lionsgate describes the new film:

Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

The film is planned for a March 24, 2017 release, and Lionsgate posted a teaser trailer last month, hinting at the film's darker tone.
