Voice Actors' Line Stickers Inspire Cute Plush Keychains

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

The Line social networking and instant messaging app allows users to communicate through a words as well as a huge variety of stickers. The "Seiyū Stamp" sticker set features cute illustrated versions of Japanese voice actors. Sega's online shop is letting those stickers enter the real world as plush keychains.

The 14-centimeter (about 6-inch) plush keychains recreate Line stickers with super-deformed versions of voice actors sprawled on their stomachs. They come wearing the voice actors' trademark outfits.

The Sega Plaza website is offering each plush for 2,000 yen (about US$18), and they are slated to ship in March.

A set of 10 7-centimeter (about 3-inch) tin badges for the Seiyū Stamp series also debuted this month. The same website lists them as a limited-edition Sega item not available at retail.

Japan's version of Line includes various stickers of celebrities, comedians, television personalities, and voice actors. Voice actresses Yumi Hara and Asami Imai appeared as cute stickers in 2014.

Many of Line's Japanese sticker sets also feature anime and manga characters, as well as original characters. Line's Usumaru received a net anime adaptation in August.
