Good Smile Company's Racing Miku Returns in 2017 With Illustrator Tony

Good Smile Racing, the subsidiary company of Good Smile Company that sponsors the Team UYKO Super GT 300 race team, unveiled the design for Racing Miku 2017, the Hatsune Miku design that will grace their vehicles and promo materials for the next year.
Illustrator Tony is providing designs for the new Racing Miku. Next year marks the 10th anniversary of the launch of Good Smile Company's racing team.
Tony appeared at a press conference on Friday to unveil the design. A Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG GT3 car featuring Tony's illustrations will debut at the Wonder Festival event on February 19. The project will begin accepting new individual sponsors on January 1.
The same racing team and drivers are returning from last year. Takanori Aki is returning as team owner, and Ukyo Katayama is managing the team. Drivers Nobuteru Taniguchi and Tatsuya Kataoka will again race in competition.
Shigeto Koyama (Gundam: Reconguista in G, Evangelion: 3.0) oversaw art direction for Racing Miku 2016. Heroman character designer Shigeto Koyama provided designs for Racing Miku 2015, and Taiki provided illustrations.
