Pikachu Dons Vulpix Garb to Celebrate Sapporo Pokemon Center's Redesign

With the winter snowfall in Sapporo, the local Pokémon Center has been redesigned to evoke the white landscape of Hokkaido.

To accompany this change, the Pokémon Center is offering new goodies celebrating the new games Pokemon Sun and Moon and the Alola Forms of their Pokemon. The already cute Vulpix now has an even cuter, white, Ice-type Alola Form. To ramp up the cuteness even further, you can buy plushies of Pikachu wearing Vulpix ponchos (2,000 yen/$17).

If plushies aren't your thing, you could always opt for a metal keychain with the same Pikachu (600 yen/$5).

And if Pikachu's poncho is making you jealous, you can always buy one yourself (4,800 yen/$41).

The Vulpix poncho-clad Pikachu will also be available as pins, clear files, golden lacquerware, and stickers. Preorders for the merchandise will begin on February 1 at Amazon.co.jp's Pokemon Store; they will go on sale on February 11. The Sapporo Pokémon Center is located on the 8th floor of the Daimaru department store by the JR train station.

Marowak, Raichu and Meowth's Alola forms are already available as plushies.
