Hiroshi Kamiya, Daisuke Ono Pick Up Some Serious Bling During Radio Program

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Duo buy watches valued at over US$4,000

Voice actors Hiroshi Kamiya and Daisuke Ono recently visited the Evance high-end watch shop in Ginza, Tokyo for their Kamiya Hiroshi・Ono Daisuke Dear Girl~Stories~ radio program. The pair tried on watches and purchased their favorites during the visit. Evance's online shop has a special page showcasing all of the watches that featured on the program, but anime fans may want to think twice before investing.

The luxury watches are currently listed at prices ranging from from 538,000 yen (about US$4,754) to 16.8 million yen (US$148,453). The broadcast writer Chanko, who often appears on the voice actors' program, also visited the shop and purchased a watch. Here are the watches that they purchased:

Hiroshi Kamiya
Rolex Explorer I
538,000 yen (about US$4,754)

Daisuke Ono
TAG Heuer Carrera
548,000 yen (US$4,842)

Chanko
Omega Deville Rattrapante
708,750 yen (US$6,263)

Jōtarō Kūjō, a character Ono voices, reportedly also wears a TAG Heuer watch in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. Kamiya's choice, which is the least expensive of the featured watches, is already sold out as of the posting of this article. The Evance website notes that some prices have changed since the radio program debuted.

Here are the watches that Kamiya and Ono tried on but decided not to purchase:

Hiroshi Kamiya

Daisuke Ono

The episode featuring the watches was broadcast on January 21 and January 28.

Kamiya and Ono are both prolific anime and video game voice actors. Kamiya's anime roles include Attack on Titan's Levi, Durarara!!'s Izaya, Haikyu!!'s Ittetsu, and Natsume's Book of Friends' title character. In addition to Jōtarō, Ono has voiced Black Butler's Sebastian, Kuroko's Basketball's Shintarō, Mr. Osomatsu's Jūshimatsu, and Wagnaria!!'s Jun.

The Saint Seiya, Fruits Basket, and Tiger & Bunny anime all inspired wristwatches last year. The most expensive among them, the gold Saint Seiya watch, was still a bargain 39,800 yen (US$350) compared to Kamiya and Ono's choices.
