Idol Unit AŌP's New Member Auditions Call for Anime Fans

The idol unit AŌP is holding auditions for new members so that the group can expand its activities. The auditions are open to "people who like anime more than anything," and the group is accepting online or paper applications until February 28.
Applicants must be between 15 and 23 years of age. They also must be able to participate in projects and lessons in and around Tokyo and its suburbs. The idol unit will announce more information about the auditions on its AŌP no Animusu!! television program that airs every Thursday on TV Tokyo.
AŌP formed in 2012 as a group of six girls who want to support anime. The idol unit performs anime theme songs and holds live performances and other public appearances. The group has performed theme songs for television anime series including Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club, 12-Sai: Chiccha na Mune no Tokimeki, Time Travel Girl, and Mr. Osomatsu.
