Nap With Natsume's Book of Friends' Nyanko-sensei Plush, Cushion This Spring

Banpresto's Ichiban Kuji prize lottery unveiled a series of Natsume's Book of Friends prizes on Thursday that feature Nyanko-sensei napping. The prize lottery will debut in mid-March, and its 620-yen (about US$6) prize tickets will be available at certain convenience, book, hobby, and Animate stores throughout Japan.

Ichiban Kuji prize lotteries always include a Last One Prize, and for this series, that is a black version of the Nyanko-sensei rest cushion. The people to purchase the last lottery ticket at each location will receive this special prize.

People who participate in Ichiban Kuji prize lotteries can use their ticket stubs to enter in the Double Chance campaigns. For this lottery line, 50 people will have another chance to receive the A Prize nap Nyanko-sensei plush.

Due to the popularity of Natsume's Book of Friends, Nyanko-sensei has featured on a wide variety of merchandise including charms, teapots, and giant plushes. Crafty fans can create their own origami or felt versions of the cat. Sweet red bean buns featuring Nyanko-sensei's likeness debuted in 2012, and the powerful yōkai feline even got his own magazine last October.
