Live-Action Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu TV Series, Film Get VR Videos

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

The live-action television adaptation of Rina Yagami's Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu (My Big Brother Loves Me So Much It's a Problem) manga is getting virtual reality (VR) videos. The videos will allow viewers to experience heart-stopping kiss and hug scenes with the series' main characters from the point of view of Setoka.

The VR videos will feature scenes from the television drama and stream after each of the series' five episodes airs. Fans must download the dTV VR app to view the 360° panoramic 3D videos. There are also plans to make VR content for the live-action film adaptation of the manga.

In addition, a "movie comic" for the television series will debut on the dTV app on April 1. Saki Fujita (Assassination Classroom's Ritsu, Attack on Titan's Ymir) will voice Setoka, and Yūki Kaji (Blue Exorcist's Konekomaru, Attack on Titan's Eren) will voice Haruka.

The live-action Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu television series will premiere on April 12, followed by the live-action film on June 30. The television series and film will feature the same main cast members:

  • Ryōta Katayose as Haruka Tachibana
  • Tao Tsuchiya as Setoka Tachibana
  • Yudai Chiba as Takane Serigawa
  • Ito Ōno as Chiyuki Mioka, Chiaki's younger sister
  • Fūju Kamio as Suzuki, Setoka's kendo-practicing love interest
  • YOU as Azusa Tachibana, Haruka and Setoka's mother
  • Takuya Kusakawa as Chiaki Mioka the "prince-like cool guy" who treats Setoka like a high-class girl
  • Yōsuke Sugino as Kunimitsu Serigawa, the "lazy cool guy" who is Takane's younger brother and Setoka's classmate

The Japanese online bookstore Honya Club listed the original manga as ending with the fifth volume on March 24. Yagami launched the manga in Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine in 2015.

The story centers on two siblings: Setoka is an unpopular but romantic high school student, and her brother Haruka is a delinquent youth, but cares for his younger sister more than anything else. The two are not related by blood, but only Haruka knows about this. The abrasive Takane Serigawa, Setoka's first love, returns after many years, and begins to get closer to Setoka again. After that, Setoka is the target of many older men's affections, and it seems like the first popular phase in Setoka's life has begun.
