Tsugumomo Anime Gets Racy 2-Sided Flyer at AnimeJapan

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

The official website for the television anime of Yoshikazu Hamada's Tsugumomo manga revealed on Friday that the series will release a possibly unprecedented fukurotoji flyer at AnimeJapan on March 25 and March 26. In a modern context, printed fukurotoji items typically consist of a double-leaved page sealed at the opening so that readers must break the seal to see the inside.

The front of the flyer will feature an introduction to the anime and character profiles. The back of the flyer will feature Hamada's revealing "treasured illustrations" of Kiriha, Kukuri, Chisato, Kokuyō, and Sunao. The Toei Video booth will distribute the flyers at three different times on Saturday and Sunday, and there will be a limit of one flyer per person. People who want to receive the flyers must follow the anime's official Twitter account. A total of 1,000 flyers will be distributed.

The anime's website warns that the flyers will feature "sexually extreme depictions." High school students and younger children will not be able to receive the flyers.

Tsugumomo will have a Pony Canyon booth stage event on March 25. The Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures booth and Pony Canyon booth will also distribute samples of the original manga.

AnimeJapan 2017 will be the convention's fourth event, and it will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight. The business days will feature a dedicated business area with smaller booths, and will take place on March 23 and 24. General attendees can enter the convention on the main days on March 25 and 26. The convention will also offer an eight-part anime business course this year.

The Tsugumomo television anime will premiere on April 2.
