Fate/Extra CCC AR Tapestries Will Go On Sale Again

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Anime News Network's merchandise coverage sponsored by Tokyo Otaku Mode.

Do you wish the characters from Fate/Extra CCC could speak to you, privately, in your bedroom?

The anime merchandise company Plusone introduced and quickly sold out of Fate/Extra CCC AR tapestries at Comiket 85. The tapestries work cooperatively with a mobile app that allows a phone's camera function to make the tapestries "talk." The company sold one of Saber and one of Caster for 7,000 yen each.

The company then expanded the line to include Archer and Gilgamesh and sold the tapestries at Comiket 87 the following year.. Voice actors Junichi Suwabe and Tomokazu Seki recorded lines for the new applications. Customers who purchased both are able to hear the characters talk to one another.

Prior to this year, if customers wanted to get their hands on these tapestries but didn't attend Comiket, they were out of luck. PlusOne has heard fans prayers and announced on Friday that the tapestries will go on sale again.

Marvelous Entertainment and Type-Moon released the Fate/Extra PlayStation Portable game in Japan in 2010. Aksys Games released the game in North America in November 2011. The Fate/Extra CCC companion game shipped in Japan on the PSP in March 2013.

The anime adaptation, titled Fate/Extra Last Encore, will premiere "next winter."
