JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, One Piece Jump Off the Pages onto Honda Fit

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Earlier this week, the Honda Fit car seen in a recent Weekly Shonen Jump commercial went on display at an exhibition in Tokyo's Roppongi Hills complex, albeit with an itasha makeover. The stark white car was covered in scenes straight out Captain Tsubasa, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, One Piece, Naruto, and Dragon Ball pages.

The event offers visitors the chance to experience a "virtual drive" through the world of manga. In the experience, people can sit in the driver's seat of a New Fit and play a game while art from the magazine's manga appears in the front window. The experience features 15 manga titles such as Dragon Ball and One Piece.

The event ran at Roppongi Hills' O-yane Plaza from July 6 to July 9, and will run at its Hills Cafe from from July 15 to August 27.

The Roppongi Hills complex's Tokyo Mori Arts Center Gallery will also host a special exhibition for the magazine from July 18 to October 15. In addition, the magazine is marking its 50th anniversary in 2018 with new printings of its landmark issues, an international manga contest, and a smartphone game.
