Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple Gets Spooky for Convenience Store Campaign

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Anime News Network's merchandise coverage sponsored by Tokyo Otaku Mode.

The Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple anime film is collaborating with the Ministop convenience store chain for a Halloween campaign. The promotion will offer exclusive merchandise and feature in-store announcements by voice actor Junichi Suwabe, who voices Sakunosuke Oda in the anime.

People who buy two qualifying items at the same time will receive one of four clear files with Osamu Dazai, Sakunosuke Oda, and Sakaguchi Ango in Halloween costumes.

In addition, customers can use their receipts for purchases of at least 500 yen (US$4.42) to enter a merchandise lottery. 50 winners will be selected to receive either an acrylic stand or a B2-size tapestry.

Suwabe is recording two sets of in-store announcements. The first set will play from October 9-20, and the second set will play from October 21-31.

The campaign will be held from October 9-31.

Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple will open in Japan in early spring 2018. The film will feature the new character Tatsuhiko Shibusawa.
