J-World Tokyo's Kuroko's Basketball 3D Attraction Gets Vorpal Swords Update

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Kuroko's Basketball is getting a new 3D attraction at Namco's J-World Tokyo indoor theme park this month. The Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game anime film's "Special Room" attraction is updating and reopening with a Vorpal Swords version on November 23.

In the attraction, people will be able to participate as manager in a training session with the Vorpal Swords team. The experience lets participants play alongside life-size versions of the anime's characters. Players will be able to choose one of four stories featuring two characters each. The options are Tetsuya Kuroko and Ryōta Kise, Shintarō Midorima and Kazunari takao, Taiga Kagami and DAIKI Aomine, and Seijūrō Akashi and Atsushi Murasakibara.

To celebrate the attraction's update, people who try it will receive one of eight tin badges. In addition, every time fans participate, they will receive a stamp. People who collect four stamps can enter for a chance to win one of 80 acrylic smartphone stands.

The park's food corner will offer a special collaboration menu for a limited time. The menu will feature food and drinks such as "Special Room Deluxe Doughnuts and Dessert Mist" and "Akashi and Murasakibara's Frozen Strawberry and Grape Jelly Sparkling Drink." People who order from the menu will receive one of eight luncheon mats, and everyone who participates in the attraction will receive an original illustration sheet.

The Vorpal Swords 3D attraction will be available from November 23, 2017 to November 25, 2018, and it will cost 800 yen (about US$7) to participate.

J-World Tokyo's past collaborations with Kuroko's Basketball include a Kuroko and Kagami version of "Special Room" earlier this year and a Halloween celebration in 2014.
