posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-'s Rem and Ram celebrate their birthday on February 2. The Shibuya Marui department store in Tokyo already announced that it will mark the occasion with a special celebration from January 20 to February 5. Sega announced plans on Wednesday to hold its own "Winter Campaign" in honor of the twins from January 27 to February 25.

Two Sega game centers in Akihabara, Tokyo will display life-size panels of Rem and Ram with wedding and Valentine's Day designs beginning on January 27. Prize-every-time UFO catcher machines will offer six varieties of clear files from January 27 to February 9. The machines will offer mini colored paper board exchange tickets from February 10 to 25. People who collect two tickets will be able to receive one of seven mini colored paper boards. One attempt at the UFO catchers will cost 500 yen (about US$5).

Other UFO catcher machines will offer limited-edition prizes during the campaign. Seven varieties of mini cushion straps and three varieties of tin banks will be available beginning on January 27. Four varieties of A3-size tapestries will be available beginning on February 10.

Everyone who visits Sega arcades during the campaign period will be able to receive special postcards while supplies last. The Rem version will debut on January 27, followed by the Ram version on February 10. In addition, a birthday card featuring both characters will be available beginning on February 2, and a Valentine's Day card will be available beginning on February 14.

People who follow Sega Entertainment's official Twitter account and retweet a designated campaign Tweet will be eligible to win prizes. The campaign will choose three people who participate between January 26 and February 10 to receive complete sets of clear files, as well as three people who participate between February 9 and 25 to receive complete sets of mini colored paper boards. A similar LINE messaging and social media app campaign will select a total of six people to receive more prizes. People who participate between February 2 and 8 will be eligible to receive A3-size clear posters with a wedding design, and people who participate between February 14 and 20 will be eligible to receive posters with a Valentine's Day design.

Fans who visit any Sega game center during the campaign will be able to use their Ponta point cards to redeem points for a clear file case. Every Sega location throughout Japan will have a limited number of cases available for 2,000 points, and they will be available starting on January 27.

The Sega Collabo Cafe will also run a tie-in cafe in Akihabara from January 27 to March 11. The cafe will have two separate menus running from January 27 to February 16 and from February 17 to March 11.

The first drink menu will feature eight drinks inspired by the anime's characters for 600 yen (about US$5) each, two food items for 1,200 yen (about US$11) each, and three desserts for 1,000 yen (about US$9) each. Each menu item will come with an original coaster.

Similar to the game center campaign, guests at the cafe will be able to receive special cards on February 2 and 14. People who show a receipt from the Shibuya Marui department store's "Re:Zero -Starting Ram and Rem's Birthday Life- 2018" event will be able to receive an original sticker sheet from January 27 to March 11. Additionally, people who spend at least 2,000 yen (about US$18) at the cafe's item shop will be able to receive a bromide. Three designs will be available from January 27 to February 16, and three different designs will be available beginning on February 17.
