posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The Fate/Grand Order franchise already has a smartphone game, a VR game, a stage play, an upcoming arcade game, two anime, and several manga adaptations, but the media-mix train isn't done yet! Type-Moon announced at an event on Sunday that the latest iteration in the franchise will be a board game.
The Fate/Grand Order Duel -collection figure- game will feature mini figures of the game's Servants, and command cards.
Type-Moon will reveal more information about the upcoming game at the AnimeJapan 2018 event, to be held in Tokyo from March 22-25.
Fate/Grand Order Arcade will launch in Japan in late July with 20 servants. The game will have a single-player mode, and game cabinets will give players a random card when players play the game, featuring one of the characters from the game. The "Kira Cards" allow players to change the appearance of their characters. A second location test for the game will be held on April 7-8 in Fukuoka and other cities to be announced later.
Aniplex released the Fate/Grand Order smartphone game in Japan in summer 2015. The game received an English release in the United States and Canada in June 2017. The first chapter of the second "part," of the game, "Fate/Grand Order -Cosmos in the Lostbelt-," will launch in Japan in April.
