Sanrio Mascots Vie for Power in This Year's Character Popularity Poll

After Cinnamoroll's major win last year dethroning two-time champ Pom Pom Purin, the battle is back on for Sanrio mascot supremacy. The 33rd annual Sanrio Character Award kicks off on May 10 with 100 characters competing for the top spot.

This year's theme is "the feeling of being popular that can cause a miracle" and the mascots will appeal to voters with their individual strengths and popularity power.

Voting will run from May 10 to June 11 with results announced at Sanrio Puroland theme park on July 1. There are multiple ways to vote, either on the website, at Sanrio shops, or the Ichigo Newspaper.
