Ryuo's Work is Never Done's Shirow Shiratori Gets Married

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The Ryuo's Work is Never Done! and No-Rin light novel author Shirow Shiratori tied the knot on Saturday with a reception that included his colleagues, family, and friends. The bride is a bookstore employee seven years younger that Shiratori. He shared a picture of himself and the bride (with faces obscured) on Twitter. Evidently, the ceremony had a Ryuo's Work is Never Done's theme with items and stationary featuring the characters seen throughout the venue.

The event was a light novel star-studded affair. Authors Sora Ishihara (Sekai de 2-banme ni Omoshiroi Light Novel), Sou Sagara (The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat.), Hiro Kiyohara (Another manga) and Yomi Hirasaka (Haganai) attended the wedding. According to Kiyohara, Shiratori cried more than anyone else at the venue.

Ishihara shared an image of the wedding cake adorned with a large pink bow.

Ryuo's Work is Never Done novels' illustrator Shirabii couldn't attend but sent a video letter and congratulatory image instead.

The Ryuo's Work is Never Done! was ranked #1 by Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! in both 2017 and 2018 and inspired a television anime adaptation in January. Shiratori sat down with Anime News Network for an interview in February to discuss his inspiration and interest in shogi.
