Touken Ranbu Mochi Mochi Mascot Goes Super-Size

Anime News Network's merchandise coverage sponsored by Tokyo Otaku Mode.

SK Japan's Mochi Mochi Mascot characters remain popular, enough so that the company has had to issue guides to help buyers make sure they aren't picking up a counterfeit Yūri Katsuki. Touken Ranbu fans are in luck though, factories will probably have a difficult time pulling off a replica of such large proportions.

The "Mochi Mochi Mascot Big Touken Ranbu -Online- Mikazuki Munechika" is far larger than its fluffy pals, measuring 34cm high, 47cm wide, and 69cm long (roughly a foot high, 1.5ft wide, and 2.3ft long).

This burly boy has an equally large price tag of 27,000 yen (US$245).

DMM's Touken Ranbu "sword personification training game" takes famous swords from Japanese history and interprets them as bishōnen. Nitroplus designed the characters and scenario. The game launched in Japan in 2015 and it has more than 1.5 million registered users.
