Comedian Yūsuke Inoue Cosplays as Kirito for SAO x Monster Strike Collab Commercial Series

The upcoming Sword Art Online: Alicization anime is the latest anime to collaborate with XFLAG's Monster Strike game, and comedian Yūsuke Inoue from the NON STYLE duo donned a full Kirito cosplay outfit for a commercial advertising the event.
In the "episode 1: Forming a Party Version" ad, Inoue is introduced as the "Black MonSt Swordsman Kirito Inoue." Instead of Kirito's dual swords, he holds a smartphone and touchpen. A group of high schoolers are walking toward him complaining about the heat, when one of the boys spots Inoue and asks "Hey, isn't that Inoue?" The girl confirms it is and wonders what it is he's doing there. Another boy invites Inoue to play Monster Strike with them. Inoue might've been a bit too engrossed in the character of Kirito, because he responds to this invite with, "I'm telling you now, I play solo." The young man responds "OK, I'll get someone else to play with then." Inoue seems to immediately regret his decision, running after the high schoolers yelling "Just kidding!"
The above ads will be available until August 2, and are part of a series of commercials. Fans can also help decide the story of the commercials. Fans can vote via the official Monster Strike campaign Twitter account what lines will be said in the upcoming "Battle Version" and "Victory Version" commercials. Kirito's lines that weren't chosen for the first video above were: "My life is yours, Asuna," and "Because you're just like my younger sister..." The second and third commercials will debut on July 17.
The Sword Art Online: Alicization and Monster Strike collaboration launched on Friday. The Sword Art Online: Alicization anime will premiere in October. Also premiering in October is a new Monster Strike anime film, titled Monster Strike The Movie: Sora no Kanata (Beyond the Sky).
