Laid-Back Camp Anime's Curry Ramen Becomes Real

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Remember in Laid-Back Camp when Rin helps Nadeshiko and gives her curry ramen? Fans will soon be able to recreate the scene with real instant curry noodles inspired by the anime.

The real-world version of the curry ramen will have a tonkotsu (pork belly and pork-bones) powder soup base. The noodles will be made with a 48-hour low-temperature mist process. Each pack will bundle one of five Laid-Back Camp stickers (pictured below). People who collect and send in tickets attached to the curry ramen packages will be able to enter for a chance to win a card game inspired by the anime.

Tokyo's Shosen Grande store will offer a free experience for the "Yurukyan△ ~Dokodemo Tent Hari!~" card game on July 20. The game will begin going on sale at various retailers on July 21.

For fans who need a refresher on the curry ramen scene from the anime, Crunchyroll is streaming a video clip from the show:

Those interested in having a full-on campout with Laid-Back Camp merch can also purchase a Laid-Back Camp backpack, grill, peg hammer, titanium mug, and two-way side table with tote bag.

Yen Press is releasing the original manga in English, and Crunchyroll streamed the 12-episode series as it aired.
